The first sequence in this quicksand video, Tourist Tales, is aptly called, "The Tourist". It comes from an idea by Pete Boggs and myself, and features a woman who gets separated from her touring group while overseas. While walking through the countryside, she encounters a sign which she believes is pointing towards the nearest town. After getting caught in quicksand, she encounters a local citizen who seems unable to understand her predicament. With the use of her translation guide, they attempt to communicate with limited success and much misinterpretation.
